Find the Mural in Nipomo, CA

This beautiful mural tells some of the history of Nipomo, CA. While you are in town, visit some of our great restaurants, our lovely park, the Historic Dana Adobe or just cruise around and enjoy the scenery. Check out Nipomo’s other great caches while you are in town.

On Nov. 1, 2008, the original owner of this cache (Steve - CaRacetramp) passed away suddenly. At the request of his brother, Rosco Bookbinder, BooBooBee adopted this cache in hopes that other cachers would continue to enjoy this pleasant, local, educational find. Dec. 2013 the cache has been passed to Steve's brother Rosco Bookbinder. Enjoy!

  • To find the container with the log for this cache, you will do 2 simple equations based on numbers that you will find on the mural. This will give you your North and West coordinates so bring your calculator.
  • To get the North Coordinate, take the number of Stagecoach stops between San Diego and San Francisco and multiply it by 1167281.
  • To get the West Coordinate, take the number of horses pulling the Stagecoach and multiply it by 30075755.

    Drive to the back side of the park and go through the trail gate. Short walk from there.
