This cache is for the 2nd in the series and can be found near the parish church of Marown in the middle of the Island, just over 4 miles along the TT course from its start/finish line. It has an area of approximately nine square miles (23 km²) and is the only parish on the island that does not border the sea at some point. The River Dhoo flows through the parish, which includes the villages of Glen Vine and Crosby. The Church of England parish church is St Runius in Glen Vine (the old St Runius church is in Crosby).
The parish includes the middle section of the central valley from Greeba to Union Mills, with the mountainous regions on either side from Colden and the village of Baldwin to the Santon Burn. It is an agricultural district, but its soil is only moderately fertile. A great part of the valley is boggy, and subject to heavy floods. The Millennium Way, a long-distance footpath runs through the parish, as does the Heritage Trail, which follows the old Peel to Douglas railway line.
Parking is available right next to the church (see coordinates below). Then take the path next to the church (which is located just 15 yards along the main road in the direction of Douglas). Please replace the cache exactly as found, and as usual, WATCH OUT FOR MUGGLES!
Happy caching!
