Hello Friends. This next cache is over the hills and far away; where you can almost see the ocean. We should have sung the rain song when this once busying misty mountain hop turned onto a black hill side. When you travel here, I must warn you that there will be: two, or three or at least four sticks in your boot. So what are you waiting for and get trampling underfoot! I'm just rambling on so I'll quit soon, but first, in my time of dying, I must say, Thank-you.

On our way down Monserate Mountain we attempted to find this well hidden cache. We where right on top of it and didn't see it! We will be back!

Out for a hike to celebrate my 35th birthday. Monserate sounded like a great challenge. This hill is STEEP! GPSr locked onto GZ. I wasn't too confident though. 3 DNF's in a row is always a bad sign. Found it as stated. Cache is wrapped in some kind of camo tape. SL. Left signature card and paracord key for. Enjoy! TFTC!

Well, I tried to find this one again and I only met up too close to a rattle snake. WAY TOO CLOSE!! If this involves sticking my hand into a dark snake lair forget it. That's not cool. I don't think I will try this one again. Bummer.

Next time you're up there check and see if its still really there. According to my gps I should've been standing right on it. I searched for a good 40 minutes. I must have picked up every rock in the place. I love hiking this mountain! I usually hike the big one East across Rice Canyon Rd. I'll be back to try again!

Looked for 20 minutes or so on this one. Hate to be the first DNF...but, oh, well. Lots of new vegetation in the area made it tough to check all the nooks and crannies. Had a great hike. I'll be back for this one at a future date. It's amazing how quickly this completely burned mountain has recovered.
