The
long-awaited (by us) sequel to Snug as a Bug in Central Park,
welcome to Riverside Park's new X-Ray Vision Bug! Another lengthy
and immersive project by the Munchkins, representing everything
from location scouting trips, selection and preparation of the
container, careful consideration of the initial swag (several
foreign coins from their personal collection)... and of course a
days-long debate about the name. I will admit that I do not fully
understand the meaning myself, but I have been assured by the
Munchkins that (1) it sounds cool, and (2) if you yourself had
x-ray vision, it would probably be easier to find the cache.
I can't argue, really.
After your search, enjoy Riverside Park! It's Central Park lite
- all of the architectural genius of Frederick Law Olmsted, with
just a fraction of the crowds. We have taken advantage of the space
to teach each of our Munchkins how to ride their training
wheel-free bicycles here on the wide and forgiving paths - the most
recent lesson was just a week ago. And we've had more school
picnics and youth soccer games on these fields in the past years
than we can count. The Munchkins decided that all the park really
needed was was a good nearby geocache that we could use to
introduce our friends to the sport, and so here is their latest
contribution, along with a promise that it will always be
well-maintained and stocked.
