Technology for technology geeks was created as a test cache for Garmin's new geocaching co-device (beacon) Chirp for the first couple of weeks. After the test period Chirp remained in the cache. From 17.6.2017 onwards the Chirp exceeded it lifetime, and now the cache can be found without the help of Chirp.

Jotta yhteensopiva gepsisi voisi vastaanottaa tietoja Chirpiltä, täytyy Chirpin etsintä kytkeä päälle geokätköasetuksista. Kun olet noin 10m säteellä kätköstä, Chirpin pitäisi lähettää viesti, joka siihen on asennettu. Kun löydät kätkön, kosketa sitä gepsillä, jolloin sen pitäisi ladata automaattisesti seuraavan pisteen koordinaatit.

The cache is a compact basic multi cache. Remember to wear snow- and cold-resistant clothes when searching this one in the winter.
EDIT: The Chirp no longer works, so this cache remains as memorial cache for Chirp, and can be found the traditional way.
Chirp is compatible with GPS devices mentioned below. The cache can also be found in traditional way. Chirp will be in the cache until the 19th December. I'd like to have some feedback about how Chirp works and if Chirp helped or made it more difficult to search the cache. Basic information about Chirp can be read on the related webpage. In order to enable your compatible GPS to receive info from Chirp, you must turn on "Chirp searching" on your geocache settings. When you are within 10m radius from the cache, Chirp should send you a message that has been installed in it. When you find the cache touch the cache with your GPS and Chirp should automatically upload the next stage coordinates in your device.
