In celebration of Linn County Conservation's 50th Anniversary there will be 50 GeoCaches placed within various parks and recreation areas in the next year.
Additional information can be obtained from the Linn County Parks Website and the Iowa Geocachers Website.
The Cache is an Ammo Box hidden in a typical way.

Lucky Skyview Ridge
Skywatcher Gorge
Palisades Dows Preserve
Palisades Dows Preserve is located across the river from Palisades Kepler State Park.
Part of this 162-acre area was a gift from Sutherland Dows to the people of Linn County.
The preserve is primarily wooded with some unique limestone outcroppings located near the Cedar River.
This area has been used extensively by area colleges for a variety of research projects.
In addition to the natural features, the Cedar Amateur Astronomers have constructed an observatory and viewing pads on this property.
Educational programs and viewing opportunities are offered at various times throughout the year.
