Biking To Jones Beach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

brltrans: I went to try to find this cache today, and I believe it is unretrievable. It had been hidden in a large, partly-hollow log at the side of the bike path to Jones Beach. The log has collapsed, and the cache might be somewhere underneath the rubble. I tried to find it; I knew what I was looking for - but was unable to do so. I tried to turn the log over, but it's too heavy to move, and it is entangled in copious vines. I fear that the cache is at the bottom of the debris under the log. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks to everyone who searched for and found this cache. I'm archiving it and opening up the area for a future cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a modified micro with a log only, so please bring your own pen/pencil. I noticed the potential location while I was riding my bicycle on the paved path that runs parallel to the Wantagh State Parkway as it winds its way towards Jones Beach. GZ should be quite obvious. I hope that you will be challenged somewhat in your efforts to actually find the cache. Please use stealth, and replace as found… muggles abound!
