Vom 1. Oktober 1958 bis zum 2. März
1960 war Elvis Presley in Friedberg stationiert. Als Wohnort wählte
er das benachbarte Bad Nauheim und residierte dort zunächst im
Park-Hotel. Doch nach nur fünf Tagen zieht er weiter ins Hotel
Grunewald in Terrassenstraße, nahe dem Kurhaus. Bis zum 3.2.1959
bewohnt Elvis dort das Zimmer 10. Danach mietet die Familie das
Privathaus Goethestraße 14, in dem er und seine Familie bis zum
Ende des Aufenthalts eine dauerhafte Bleibe finden. Am 02.03.1960

Zum Cache: Eigentlich wollte ich nur
einen Cache zum 30. Todestag von Elvis auslegen. Bei der
Ortsbesichtigung hörte ich Gemurmel am Elvis-Denkmal in der Nähe
des Kurparks. Mehrere Leute sagten leise: Elvis lebt! Dann
der entscheidende Tipp: Elvis hat ein Antiquitäten-Geschäft in der
Fussgängerzone von Bad Nauheim. Von dort fährt er immer mit dem
Bus zu seinem Haus. Also legte ich den Cache an eine Stelle
an der man Elvis sehen kann, wenn er abends nach Hause
kommt.

From October 1, 1958 until March 2,
1960 Elvis Presley was stationed in Friedberg, Germany. He lived in
nearby Bad Nauheim (Bad not meaning "bad" in german 
). First he lived in the Park Hotel
but after 5 days he moved to the Hotel Grunewald in the
"Terrassenstrasse", near the "Kurhaus". He lived there in room
Nr. 10 till February 3, 1959. Then Elvis and his family rented
a private place in "Goethestrasse 14" where they lived till he
moved back to the US on March 2, 1960. On the website of the Elvis Presley fan club you

Elvis lived in during his stay in Germany.
To the cache: First I just wanted to
place a cache for the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death. While out
at the house where he lived to find a good hiding spot, I heard
people whispering and murmuring. After a while I understood what
they were saying: Elvis is alive! Then somebody in the crowd
told me: Elvis now owns a antique store in the main shopping street
in Bad Nauheim. From there he uses the bus to get back to
his place every day. Therefore I placed the cache at a location
where you can see him when he comes home at nigth.
