This is a series of 12 caches throughout East Dallas County. All
of the caches are either: 1. actually haunted or 2. An Urban
Legend. I put this series out because I do believe in haunted
places and ghosts and find it very interesting. I have done some
research on these places and have found multiple sites talking
about them. If you would like to try these caches during night,
please be careful. I will not be held liable for any damage or any
other behavior that goes on. If you have heard any stories, had any
experience, or know that some of my information is wrong, please
e-mail me. All pictures are welcome and if you take some, look for
ghost related objects in your pictures.
On the corner of Ferguson Rd. and Gus Thomasson, was an Eckerd's
that is haunted by a man name Wayne. It is said that this man was a
late night loader, and un-loader. He was a good, honest, family man
until one day at 6:00am going home after finishing his shift, 3 men
assaulted him for his money. These men had been doing this for a
while now. Well so then Wayne finally decided to defend himself
this time, not knowing the 3 men had a GUN. He was shot 3 times in
the heart and 3 times in the head. Reports, employees, say that in
the upstairs part of the building, where Eckerd's kept its boxed
products is said to be haunted by Wayne. Employees say mysteriously
boxes fall down, Radio is turned, Cold areas are felt, and
footsteps are heard going up the stairs.
This cache is a Ricotta cheese container, about 5" tall and 3"
wide, and has the usual camo duct tape. The old Eckerds was located
somewhere in this shopping center, not at the CVS across the
street. I could not find the exact location of the store but my
guess is next to the cache. I actually place this cache at the same
time I put out the rest of the Haunted Series but I forgot about
this one. So after I remembered where I placecd this cache I went
to see if it was still there, and it is there with a clean log
(imagine that) and the original goody I placed in there back in
February.
