Once a Spur Traditional Geocache

A camo'd decon container hidden in an abandoned piece of railroadiana.
This spur off the UP (ex-SP) Milpitas Line was torn up a long time ago, but for some reason these two pieces remain. When the area was redeveloped, the need for rail access disappeared, so the tracks were removed. A guess would be that the spur served agricultural or light industrial sites in the area. Before there was a Silicon Valley, this was "the Valley of Heart's Delight" and was covered in fruit trees, with associated packing sheds needing rail service.
The abandoned right of way takes you west over to the Milpitas Line, where you can see the longer ties where the turnout was (also pulled out). This is still an active railroad, so pay attention and don't get too close. Most traffic these days uses the Coast Line, a bit farther west running through Alviso and across the Bay to Fremont. To the east there is another UP line (ex-WP) but the spur must have been torn out before UP bought SP, and the spur did not connect to the ex-WP line according to the maps in my rail atlas.
You can park within feet of the cache, but you should be stealthy, as there is lots of traffic on the street. It's a T1.5 because you can't get to it in a wheelchair. The cache is covered in duct tape to hide the scary stuff on the labels of a decon container. There is room for small trade items, but not enough for a pen. It should go without saying that you should replace the cache as you found it, otherwise it will not stay in place.
