First you need to go to the coordinates indicated (easily reached by car or foot. By foot it is a 1.25 K walk from the Alhambra in Granada. By car a bit further). At the coordinates, you will see a large sign and a couple of metres in front of it, a chain across a path.
Take the altitude of Cerro del Sol (as indicated on the sign) minus the altitude of the sign (also indicated on the sign) plus 156. This is x.
Now measure the approximate distance from the chain to the fig tree further down the path on the right hand side.
If chain to fig tree is approx. 10: y=724
If chain to fig tree is approx. 30: y=824
If chain to fig tree is approx. 60: y=924

There is a car park and picnic area in the vicinity of the cache. The cache is within walking distance of the fig tree only if you enjoy long walks in nice countryside and you have some time to spare!
