In 1881 this site was established as a stagecoach roadhouse between
Winnemucca, Nevada and Burns, and the post office was established
in 1913!
Despite this town's small size, it is the commerce center for the
area's ranches and the largest community between Denio, Nevada 22
miles (35 km) to the South and Frenchglen, Oregon 52.4 miles (84.3
km) to the North.
Stop and enjoy an interesting bit of South Eastern Oregon's
history. Oh yes, and a geocache :)
