NorthWes: Sadly, someone has stolen the unique one of a kind 'initial point' that made this cache possible. Sigh... I placed that 'initial point' with a twelve-foot piece of rebar and the help of my father in law - it was a bit of work!

Geocache Description:

An initial point marker has been placed in Anchorage's Jodhpur Park,
where motorsports rule! The cache final is .7 miles away...

Located in the sand dunes high above Turnagain Arm, the initial point marker is not on the largest sand dune in the area. Access is from Jodhpur Road off the far west end of Dimond Blvd. The park entrance is at N61 08.780 W150 00.714 and is closed after 10pm. This is not a night cache - the presence of 300 foot bluffs near the initial point make access necessary in daylight! Children and pets should not run loose at the initial point!

The numbered initial point marker is low (on the ground!). The cache is at:

N61 09.11A W150 00.B20

where B is twice the second-to-last digit on the marker, and A is the last digit on the marker less one. You'll need all the precision you can get in the final hunt for the cache!

There are devils clubs at the final point - but they aren't thick and can be 'waded' if careful. Parking is available and obvious within 335 feet of the final point. The small ammo can is well-hidden; please replace it where you found it!
