Come celebrate the Fifth Annual ASP GeoBash in the scenic Red House
section of Allegany State Park. The event this year will be held at
Camp Allegany, Just off Rt ASP2.
You can plan on a FREE, fun, family-oriented gathering that will
include activities for geocachers of all ages. The three day event
will offer everything from games, drawings, and educational
seminars to lots of caches of all types and terrain. We're planning
a Travel Bug Race, a Dance Saturday night with D.J., and free WiFi
on the grounds of the 'Bash.
The park offers campgrounds, cabins and cottages or accommodations
are available in two nearby towns, Salamanca, NY or Bradford, PA so
you can make plans to stay the weekend or longer.

The Travel Bugs are beginning to line up for the big T.B. Race!
Enter your new trackable by dropping it in this event and
then enter it in the race at the Welcome Center when you sign in.
The one with the most miles next year is the winner!
Here is
the 2010 GeoBash Cache Loop. Nearly 100 permanent caches
starting at Camp Allegany, down ASP1 to Bradford, Pa. Then around
the loop and back to the Quaker area of ASP along ASP3. These don't
include the new caches being released just prior to the
event
Last year we brought you internet, this year we've brought Mass
Transit to Allegany State Park! Limited parking including handicap
sites are available at Camp Allegany. Plenty of parking is
available at Red House Beach Area (Waypoint -
Overflow Parking Area) with only a healthy walk and a cache
on the way, over the now pedestrian bridge to intersection of Park
Road and ASP 2 (Waypoint - Bash Bus
Stop). Signs will be posted. Beehunter Trail campers can
leave their vehicles at their cabins and walk the paved path to the
shuttle pick up site. The Bash Bus will be running a continuous
circle from Camp Allegany to the intersection of Park Road and ASP
2. The bus hours are Friday 5 PM to 10:30 PM and Saturday 8 AM to
11:30 PM. The drivers are instructed to also pick up guests
"flagging them down" along the route if they have room aboard - the
bike path runs parallel with the shuttle route for those who might
be caching along the way.
We're proud to welcome Groundspeak Lackey MissJenn to our
10
Year! and ASP GeoBash's fifth anniversary celebration.
New York State's proposed budget cutbacks DO NOT effect
