Geocache Description:

This cache is near a well known local park. This park used to be over 40 hectares of what was once an upland farm which has been planted with thousands of nature trees and shrubs. This environment provides a sanctuary for thriving populations of roe deer, badger, fox and hares as well as hawks and owls.

In addition to the wild animals, the park also contains a small children's farm and play area. There are also nature trails, a field archery course, golf course, picnic area and a tree top walkway.

If you plan to approach this cache from this area then please obey park rules and only visit in daylight hours. Parking available at N55.56.171 W003.56.521.

From the park, pass the visitor centre where the toilets are and turn left, walk along this track/road until you see the sign on the right marked Brockhurst Woods. You can pick up the trail to the cache here.

There is another way to the cache without entering the park if you know the area well, or you could consult your map.

***Please note that there is a badger set in very close proximity to the cache location. Take care on approach to avoid disturbing them***
