Geocache Description:

A nice (but tough) walk past a lake and up a hill.

The two junior slaves (R & M, code-named, jointly, Mecca) planted this cache to take you past an old German swimming club (called Berkshire Valley Park in the 1940s). In an even earlier time, the Rockaway River powered the Woodstock Forge at this site. You can find archaeological ruins everywhere, so be alert and try not to step on them.

Note: Park at N 40° 59.813 W 074° 31.430; go around Oak Ridge Lake(really the Rockaway River) by way of the old dam. It’s a large ammo box.
