The University of Northern Iowa opened the South Campus NatureTrail late last fall. This is a hiker’s trail of mown paths that loop through and through this delightful area. I have created a four- part multi-cache that will lead you through much of the extent of the Upland Forest portion of the Preserve. A map of the trails is posted at the Trail Head you want to use for this multi-cache. Trust the trails to get you near the caches and your bushwhacking will be less than 200 feet for any single cache. Each of the first three caches holds the coordinates, nickname, and hint for the following cache. The total walk should be less than a mile. Enjoy!
Two parking spaces near the Trail Head are reserved for trail users – no University sticker is required to use these spaces and they have a 2 hour time limit. Parking is located at
