Geocache Description:

A Stroll through Narre's South will inevitably find you wandering along River Gum Creek

The area West of GZ has been recently rehabilitated by Melbourne Water, as stage 1 of the project. Hopefully the result will be a public space that we will enjoy using. The rehabilitation of River Gum Creek is part Melbourne Water’s overall program to improve the health of our rivers and creeks by improving habitat values and reducing pollution levels in stormwater. The constructed wetland pools are expected to remove about 1,300 kilograms of nitrogen a year and will also treat and reduce other pollutants such as suspended solids and phosphorus. The project will also improve drainage in the area At GZ you will find some further information regarding the first stage of this project and an eclipse container without camoflage - it might be hard to see, it's even harder to reach.
