Geocache Description:

This series takes you around the outside of the park to each of the park's 11 historic gates. All the caches are outside the park boundary and all are accessible 24 hours a day even if the park is shut. The numbering in the series takes you around the park in a widdershins direction ending up back at the north side.

Heading from gate #4, you now walk through The Rose Garden with its 113 different beds as well as getting a great view of the impressive Ranger’s House (also known as Chesterfield House.)

When you reach the Chesterfield Gate you need (of course) to head outside. Across the road is the famous Blackheath Tea Hut – why not stop for a cuppa? At this spot you are looking for a regular sized cache in the series which is hidden (we hope) just out of view.

Thanks to local cacher The Master Mariner for his kind donation of both the location and the cache container. Thank you. We reckon there’s a good chance he’ll be first to find this one!
