Located on city of Aitkin property, this cache is downstream from the Mississippi River Campground and landing.
The Andy Gibson was a large steamship that plyed the waters of the upper Mississippi River in the late 1800's. Retired in 1892 it sank in the mud at what was then Potters Landing. When the river is low you can still see what remains of this once proud vessel. There is a snowmobile trail that will take you near the cache, but beware of insects and poison ivy in the tall grass off the trail.
