Much of Thayer Lake Road is the original Highway 34 roadbed installed around 1930. The area north of GZ is where the old road curved to the north, while Thayer Lake Road continues west to wrap around the lake. The old road to the north will soon be turned into a driveway by the new landowner. Do not block the driveway and respect the private property north of GZ.
