Sometime you just need to go for a hike to see the beauty of nature at her peak, so we started at the La Jolla parking area and walked up the canyon to Overlook fire road and down the Ray Miller trail back to the parking area (8.0 mile loop).

There are many places to stop along the way and take it all in, and this spot is no different. From here you can see the La Jolla Valley from one side of the road, and Sycamore Canyon and beyond from the other side, hence the name two views.

Many cachers have already hiked this loop, and found all the caches in between, but sometimes ya just gotta go for a nice hike!

Have fun!

Small trade items only please.

After two DNFs, this find lifted my sagging spirits. Thanks.

After Lightening the Load, it was on up the road, past Peak 1390. I really want to put a cache on top of Peak 1390, but I haven't found a route that doesn't involve graduate-level bushwhacking -- too much even for me.

The sun had come out viciously by now, yet fog was rolling up La Jolla Canyon and part way into the valley before it burned off, making a pretty picture with the antenna forest in the background. Was the only time today I wished I'd had my camera. In fact this was where I noticed that I hadn't packed it.

Well, I've done the remaining caches along the Overlook Fire Road, so I didn't get another until I headed down Wood Canyon Vista Trail to a Simple Cache Beside the Trail.

Thanks for the quick grab. When I reached this point, I figured it was not wise to continue downhill toward the ocean. Time to head back.

Found the cache uncovered so gathered up a few more rocks to cover it up better. This was my turn around point. Originally had planned to hike to Wood Canyon trail and take it down to Sycamore and go back from their, but a late start and couple on unexpected DNFs lead to a change in plans. Thanks for the hide and the two view.
