In this place, Sfantu Gheorghe's central department of the "ASTRA" association functioned between 1929 and 1940 and afterward the Romanian National Bank had it's local headquarters here.
ASTRA stands for "Asociatiunea Transilvana pentru Literatura Romana si Cultura Poporului Roman" meaning "The Transilvanian Association for Romanian Literature and the Romanian Nation Culture".
Today the City Hall has a few councils here.
There's also a 200+ yr old tree trunk.
