hallycat: The boardwalk and the cache were either washed out to sea or into the street in Long Beach.
Thanks to all who came to enjoy the boardwalk while it existed.

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Small lock and lock container, with the usual swag. Small items and
TB's are fine, please close properly to keep moisture out and
replace as found. Wearing shoes or Crocs recommended, some human
wildlife may use this area and there may be debris or glass.
There is no charge to get on the beach after Labor Day and evenings
in the summer. You are not supposed to be on the beach after 11 PM
or before 6 AM. Parking in the summer will be hard especially on a
weekend.
The Long Beach boardwalk is 2.1 miles long from Neptune Blvd on
the east end to New York Ave on the west end and overlooks our
beautiful natural resource, the white sand beach and Atlantic
Ocean. Over the years there have been concessions that have come
and gone, now there is only one tiny ice cream stand left. The
boardwalk is well lit and maintained and used year round day and
night by folks walking, running, riding bikes and just looking out
to sea.
Because of the rock jetty's the erosion is kept to a minimum
on Long Beach. All year long you will see people surfing and in the
warmer weather the beach is full of people sunning and swimming.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach at anytime but feel free to bring
your kids and a kite or frisbee to play with.
I live very close to the cache so I may be sitting on a bench
watching you.
