After having an event at Montague's best pizza joint, I thought it would be fun to have an event highlighting another of Montague's coolest features: Michigan's oldest soda fountain. After speaking with the owner, she has graciously opened her doors to allow us to hold this event after normal business hours, giving us cachers the run of the place. Another noticeable improvement over the last event is more interior space for indoor heat as we cache! :)
The event will be November 15th at 6 PM. Location is at posted coordinates or for those who still prefer muggle terms 8718 Ferry St, Montague, MI 49437. The small shop has expanded to now include a cafe, so soups and sandwiches will be available. Of course all the classic soda fountain features are available, floats, shakes, malts, and ice cream. As before, no purchase is necessary, but I will warn this is my favorite place to get malts. The interior of the shop alone is worth the stop. You can feel the history as you sit.
As always, happy caching, and we hope to see you all there!
