Cache has been place with permissions of the Wicomico Recreation and Park Department and by the Pemberton Historical Society. Pemberton Park offers the opportunity to hike 4.5 miles of natural trails, appreciate the beauty of nature, and study the history of the area. The plantation was one of the first established in Wicomico County and its present owner, Pemberton Hall Foundation, has restored the Hall. Take a moment to enjoy this beautiful park. www.pembertionpark.org
This trail will take you around a small pond that encompasses a bald cypress tree growing on the small pond island. There is also a picnic table there as well so you can bring a snack or lunch and enjoy the area before heading off on your adventure. Be sure to look in the water and you may see some freshwater turtles, bullfrogs and bluegill fish.
The cache you seek is a camouflaged prescription bottle with a log only so BYOP. The cache is located about 30-50 feet off of the trail, but it is pretty open on the way to the cache so very little bushwhacking is needed. Please once you find the cache please replace and cover as found for the next person. Be careful of signal bounce.
Keep in mind that the park is open from Sunrise to Sunset.
