Geocache Description:

The CTH M to the Girl Scout Camp Loop (M2CL) is roughly a 2 mile hike. The series is on property purchased by the state and which is now part of the Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area. The seven cache loop takes you from County Highway M north past Little Hodge Lake to the scout camp and back.

You might see some "no trespassing" signs along the way. Don't worry about them. They mark the boundary between state property and what was formerly private scout camp property.

The route to the 3rd and 4th stops involve hiking some old trails that are pretty overgrown with blackberry briars. I have given those caches higher terrain ratings to account for the almost bushwhacking type effort that to takes to reach them. M2CL-3 has coordinates to help cachers find a direct route to a more open trail leading to M2CL-4.

The Geocache Notification Form 2500-118 has been submitted to the Wisconsin DNR at the Chippewa Moraine Interpretive Center.  Permission for this cache was granted by Brenda Reider.

(M2CL-1) The Canadians Landed Here, So Can You

This cache was so named for the Canada Geese we saw setting up housekeeping in the ponds below and for the fact that that this is where cachers can park to do this loop.
