Nuts! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Devil Winds: There haven't been too many finders as of late, the poor tree is taking a beating, and some cachers believe that seeing the cache is as good as logging the cache. Sooooo, it's time to put this cache to bed and bring in something new...

Geocache Description:

There are some really great words in the English language and "NUTS" is one of them

The word "NUTS" is just so versatile and charming.

It could mean a cacher's state of mind as in, "That goltzene, he is just nuts!".

It could mean cashews or pecans or macadamia nuts.

It could mean the kind of nuts that squirrels chase after, like acorns.

It could mean the little metal things you screw onto bolts.

It could be used on instruments - my guitar has a nut.

Nut was the name of the Egyptian Goddess of the Sky.

It could mean a difficult cache, as in "That cache is a tough nut to crack"

It could mean that you are an enthusiast, as in "She's a (Tim Horton's) coffee nut!"

If you are rock climbing, a nut is a wedge or chock used to hold your ropes.

NUT also stands for the National Union of Teachers in the UK.

It could be an exclamation as in, "OH, Nuts!! I can't believe I just dropped the GPSr into the Colorado River and my wife dove in to get it!"

And there are many other connotations, but you get the idea.

Apparently, both the squirrels and bugs are nuts in this area - bring the heavy duty bug dope and squirrel repellent - at least three squirrels tried to run off with my etrex (that's no joke, I had to beat them down with a hiking pole). Have fun!

(By the way, the cache container does not look like a nut - and don't forget a fishing pole)
