Death defying acts may be commited a number of times while trying to reach this cache (on purpose or otherwise). Please heed the warning above and plan accordingly. But know that it's MUCH more difficult to cross that log with a full 50mm ammo can in hand than it is without.
We did take all four of our kids with us to place this cache, although at the last water crossing, I was the only one to continue on. I would advise against taking children across the log for any number of good reasons - number one being that the top of the falls is somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 to 50 feet away from the downstream side of the log. If you fall off, it's a quick trip down. The scrabble up the bank on the other side is also somewhat precarious.
