Maple Hill Monster Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Tsmola: This one was muggled. I've decided not to replace it since I can't find any more info on the story here, and since I hardly ever come out this way.

Geocache Description:

An easy cache, almost a drive up, in an interesting cemetery.

I first found out about this location online. Rumor has it that a creature of some kind is said to lurk in the woods at the back of this cemetery, making this an ideal location for another addition to the Haunts and Local Legends Series. I'm still researching this story but from what I can gather this creature is said to be large, hairy and has glowing green or silver eyes. It is said it once chased a bunch of teenagers out of the cemetery. I'll add more here as I learn more about this legend. For those who don't believe in that kind of stuff, this cemetery has some very interesting monuments, including a huge stone cross that's hard to miss as you drive back to the cache. Enjoy, and if you have any tales or other info regarding this location please, do share!

You can drive right up next to this one, cache is in a small Lock n' Lock, just make sure you cover the cache back up as good or better than you found it! Also, this cemtery does have posted hours, make sure you follow them, this one is not available at night!

This cache is part of Tsmola's series of caches: Haunts and Local Legends
Every town has it's local legends, and it's haunted places. Tsmola's Haunts and Local Legends series is designed to not only take you to these places, but also to give you some info on the backround of the place as well. If you know of a place that would be idea for a Haunts and Local Legends Cache let me know. Maple Hill Monster is #4 in the series.
