Geocache Description:

This will be the second of two events in preparation for my One Degree of Separation event (GCTVHQ) to be held on the Friday night before Geowoodstock IV. Please look up that waypoint or just click the link below the title of this event.

This event is to be held in the gazebo at Bane Park, located at 9600 West Little York Road, Houston, Texas 77040, a 20-acre facility with two lighted ball fields, a five-acre fishing lake, a playground, a gazebo, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and rest rooms.

One Degree of Separation is a project that has been taking shape and GROWING for nearly 3 years. It's a variation of the "Small World" concept that was proposed in the early 20th century. Many people are familiar with the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, but few know just how far back the idea goes.

It is my hope to link ALL geocachers around the world through the release of these 10,000+ caches to be released to the folks coming from all over this country and the world to meet at Geowoodstock IV.

At this event we will finish decorating/camoing the plastic containers (Seed Pods) and finishf stuffing the micro caches (Seeds) with log books. We will then build the fully loaded seed pods and assign unique adoption names to each finished seed pod.

This event will be a BYO sack lunch picnic and I'll provide some snacks, drinks, and water, plus all of the supplies needed to complete the project.

We'll start sometime between 9am and 10am (I'll be there setting up by 8am) and we'll finish when we get good and tired of working, or 6pm, which ever comes first. NO ONE should feel obligated to stay the whole time. Just come on down and pitch in what time you have.

All participants in this project will have caches named for them and they ALL have the potential to go anywhere in the country and many countries abroad, since they are being released at a truly international event.

I hope to see you there AND at the main event in Cedar Hill State park on Memorial Weekend.
