Geocache Description:

The "other" day use side of park along the gorge highway close to Hood River. Easy walk of approximately .14 mile from parking spot. Very slight incline up trail to cache site. Lovely creek nearby that can be seen near site.

Today we spent our first retirement day after 49 joint years working in schools in the gorge. We decided to put out a simple cache in honor of the occasion. Should not be too tough.....Cache is tupperware with blue lid in a white plastic sack. Note which side of the freeway it is on and you do not have to pay to go up this short road. We have not gone all the way to the end, but the walk to the cache should be quick and easy. If you stay on the trail you will not get into any poison oak. Be sure to stop and look at the creek near the site. Happy trails!
