Geocache Description:

This cache is located on Clear Creek Butte overlooking a magnificent view of the Alaska Range. It can be reached by snowmachine from Fairbanks in the winter, and by boat in the summer. Use caution snowmachining: look for open water on rivers and creeks. Keep track of where you are in the maze of trails. Be prepared for extreme weather in the winter and mosquitoes in the summer.

The cache is a large rectangular tupperware with a blue lid. Inside are the following items:

a new pair of yellow "smiley face" thong underwear,
a new roll of film,
a woven table runner with a moose motif,
2 Alaskan postcards with stamps,
several Alaskan pins.

NOTE: To access this cache, a Recreational Access Permit (USARAK) must be acquired for each party member 16 or over, by presenting a photo ID at the Ft. Wainwright main gate on Airport Road. Access may be denied during periods of military training or heightened security.

Be sure to keep your dogs on the main trail because there are unexploded ordinance and several signed active trap lines in the woods just off the trail.
