Atoka Park Nature Trail Traditional Cache
Mackheath: This park always looks a little rough in the winter time, but the area where the cache was needs serious clean up. There are fallen trees and cut trees all around, and I expect this cache wouldn't have lasted here much longer. I am, therefore, archiving this cache. I hope that someone local to the area will put out a new cache in this park, but it will probably need to be much smaller than the massive ammo can we had here. Thanks for the visits.

Located off the Boy Scout Troop #60 Nature Trail in Atoka
Park.
I had such a great time meeting and greeting all the great West TN
geocachers at the event in Jackson last month that I decided to
branch out north and west of home! Plus, Hwy 51 is a caching
desert, and there are some great little towns and parks just
begging for exploration by all my geocaching friends! This is the
third of three hides for me today, a brief jaunt into the woods
after parking near the ball fields. Terrain can be tricky on the
trail, watch your step, especially if it has rained. Once there,
you are looking for a 50 Cal. ammo can with a nice assortment of
trade items, and a special FTF prize. If you don't want the FTF
prize, you are welcome to any other trade item, and the next person
can have the FTF prize! GPSr readings were erratic, I took several
and I feel okay about them, but I added a star to the difficulty to
account for the tree canopy interference.CACHE IS NOT NEAR THE
RAILROAD TRACKS, STAY AWAY FROM THEM!There are some picnic tables
and softball fields nearby. Please rehide the cache well.
