Another part of my All Around Northwood Series.
How about a game of baseball, batter up!! Just don't hit too deep as the ball will go in the river. Also access this one from in the park as you do NOT need to go on private property.
This ball diamond was built in memory of Rocky Low who was a member of the Parks and Rec board who was killed in a work related accident. Rocky could be seen all the time down in the park working on all of "his" ball fields. At the time there were only 2. His dream was to make a small field for the "Little guys". After Rocky died the Parks and Rec board decided to keep Rocky's dream alive and to also build a concession stand down there as well.
R.I.P. Rocky we miss you!!
