CLose to Laurel Caverns
Laurel Caverns is the Largest Cave in Pa that is open to the public. It is a Geological Education Center and has many scout programs.
As you come into Laurel Caverns there is a Camping Area to the left there. Park on the right and go to the field on the right. There is a Gas well here. Go straight from there. about .30 miles.Watch out for Rattle Snakes! ANd Black Bears The No Trespassing signs are for the Locals that ride quads through the area and the hunters so they do not get too close.
The Cave was explored by early settlers to the area and it is believed that The Native Americans may have used the cave for food storage as some artifacts were found at the entrance.
Please Note: the Gates are locked around 5:30 so don't get locked in!
