Geocache Description:

Park in the designated pull off on Poe Paddy Drive and take in Penns View. The cache is a homage to all vistas that inspire.

This cache is in Bald Eagle State Forest with DCNR apporval until June 1, 2005. Directions for folks not familiar with the local roads, please take one of the 2 following approaches or have a 4 wheel drive vehicle: From SR 45, turn onto Paradise Rd (T 500) travel 2.1 miles and make a LEFT onto Penns Creek Rd (SR 2012) travel .5 miles and make a RIGHT onto Siglerville-Milheim Pike (immediately crosses Penns Creek) travel 2.5 miles and make a LEFT at the sign pointing to Penns View onto Pine Swamp Rd follow the directions with the double asterisk From US 322 turn onto Sand Mt. Rd. travel 6 miles and turn LEFT onto the Siglerville-Milheim Pike after 1 mile the Siglerville-Milheim Pike bears to the LEFT to Coburn and is no longer paved. Stay on Siglerville-Milheim Pike. (Do NOT take the paved road to Poe Valley State Park) travel 2 miles farther and turn RIGHT onto Pine Swamp Rd. whose sign is obscured to traffic coming from this direction follow the directions with the double asterisk ** travel 2 miles and turn LEFT at the sign pointing to Penns View onto Poe Paddy Dr. travel 1.8 miles to the Penns View pull off. This location allows for breathtaking views of meandering Penns Creek, vast Penns Valley and beyond. Please lend a hand by bringing a trash bag to pack out unwanted items that are safely within reach. Honoring all muses, access to the incidental cache does *not* require walking near the edge and follows an unmarked trail. Viewing the cache requires a unique perspective. Share thoughts via log entries. Trade cache items that have an Air related theme.
