You do not have to get off the road surface for this one. This area is not best for little ones. There is room between the barriers for them to slip through and it is a long fall down from here. Please be careful and remember to bring your writing stick. The cache is not big enough for one.
This cache is on the old highway west of the Fish Creek exit. It holds only the FTF prize and the log so bring your own writing stick. There are many bridges here. You do not have to leave the roadway or climb around the bridges or abutments. This cache is nothing new or special but we like to come down here and look at the river and the old black railroad bridge. You can check out the ice flow in winter or look for rafters and other boaters in the summer. This is a great view of the west end of the Alberton gorge area. Please have fun but be careful, we do not want anyone to fall off the bridge. Traffic is very low on this road now but you will still need to be aware as the locals come by. The coordinates may be off on this one. There seemed to be a lot of roaming here so just widen your search a little. There is also a bench mark near you might want to log as well. Check out the east end of the black bridge. There is parking at either end of the bridge. NOTE: The benchmark is no longer. Someone has removed it.
