Geocache Description:

We decided to hide this cache to celebrate Swarby Jnrs 11th Birthday. You can park at the river side car park or if you wish a longer walk, park in the town and walk down the tree lined avenue.

The River Deveron is one of the top five salmon fishing rivers in Scotland. It is sixty miles long and starts life in the Ladder Hills before joining the River Bogie just below Huntly Castle and eventually flowing into the Moray Firth between the twin towns of Banff and Macduff.
If you want to do a circular route you can follow the riverside until a road bridge is reached. Climb up the steps to the left and turn left to follow the pavement back towards Huntly.
The cache started off with a first to find pin, a wdcs pin, compass, bottle opener and a puzzle.
