Drive into Tragöss Oberort , turn right at the T-Junction , follow the road out of the village the car park is on the left hand side N- 47° 32.230 E-15° 05.026. Walk over the footbridge over the stream past the small wooden Foresters Hut and follow the signs along Path # 844
The yellow sign says it takes 3 hours , however normally this can be done in 1-3/4 to 2-1/2 hours depending how fit you are !!
The walk up is quiet steep with climb of just over 1000m , with some beautiful views of the Grünersee from the Windscharte ( ca.1420m) and Tragöß . This mountain is also used by local paraglide club , you can see the wind flag by the take off area as you reach the plateau on the right.
From the top , you can look across to the Sonnschienalm , Ebenstein etc. and the entire Hochschwab mountain range.
This Mountain is very peaceful , especially because there is not a Gasthaus !
