The Dough Flat trailhead has been re-opened, so here is a new cache to celebrate.
Cache is a small metal military box lightly hidden just off the trail. You don't need to do any steep bushwacking to reach the cache. Enjoy the views and watch for condors!

Cache contains a Sacajawea dollar for the First To Find.

The road is passable by all normal-clearance vehicles all the way in. Restroom located at the car park. Best of all, an "Adventure Pass" is no longer needed.

The hike up here is a little longer than I expected, with all the switchbacks. After the find we sat for a while thinking that we should have brought our lunches up. I regretted not bringing binoculars as well. The thin cloud cover is limiting thermal activity so I did not expect to see a condor. I don't expect them to fly unless there are good thermals. We did see a Red Tail Hawk gaining height so there was some activity there. Thanks for the great destination.

Nice place for a cache. We were lucky enough to see a condor later while hiking down to Tar Creek. Thanks
