Geocache Description:

Located along the Table Bluff segment of the Ice Age Trail. The parking lot off Table Bluff road provides closet access. Hike to the cache and back is under two miles, but there's a nice loop at this part of the trail. Bring your own writing utensil.

This nano will take you to an area to learn about a local group's land stewardship efforts and working with the Ice Age Trail Alliance and the government to preserve this area of land for all to enjoy. This group, known as Swamplovers, have worked for years to preserve and restore a large portion of this area and allow the Ice Age Trail to pass through several scenic areas. If you go all the way to the South end of the segment, there's a great overlook of the area where you can see Blue Mounds off in the distance.

And if you do go all the way to the South End, you've completed one segment of the Ice Age Trail in Dane County and on your way to becoming a Dane Drifter. See more about this hiker award program at (visit link)
