Geocache Description:

Come help clean up along the Mississippi River at Columbia Bottom Conservation Area.

What: CITO

Where: Columbia Bottom Conservation Area

When: Saturday, April 25, 2015, 10:00 am to noon


Come celebrate Earth Day and help the Saint Louis Area Geocaching Assocation (SLAGA) complete the Four Points of SLAGA CITO Event. We will be picking up trash along the Mississippi River at Columbia Bottom Conservation Area.

All geocachers who attend will get their name entered for a chance to win a CITO coin!

Meet at Parking Lot O (canoe/kayak access area). The Missouri Department of Conservation will provide equipment. Snacks and water will also be provided. The Visitor Center will be open from 8am to 4pm.

Columbia Bottom Conservation Area contains cropland, forest, wetlands, and old field habitats. There is a visitor center and office along with hiking and biking trails, interpretive sites and a boat ramp to the Missouri River. The unique feature of this area is the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, which can be seen from a viewing deck.
