Geocache Description:

The Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Series

This cache was part of the old Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation series. Placed with the kind permission of Essex Waterways, please refer to the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation (GC37P3P) cache for more information on this walk along the canal.

River Lee Country Park is a wonderful 1,000 acre Country Park that stretches on either side of the River Lee between Waltham Abbey (Essex) and Broxbourne (Hertfordshire) and has been transformed from old gravel pits. There are four main access points to the Country Park at:
1. Old Mill and Meadows, Broxbourne (Herts)
2. Lee Valley Park Farms/Fishers Green (Essex)
3. Windmill Lane, Cheshunt (Herts)
4. Waltham Abbey Gardens, Waltham Abbey (Essex)
It's a great open space for all the family to enjoy whether it's for an hour or a day.
