Geocache Description:

One rainy Sunday afternoon we decided to take a ride around our town and find some of our favorite spots and place some caches. These caches aren’t difficult at all, but take you to some interesting places. Hope you like them.

This is a canoe portage than can be used to cruise the Little Androscoggin River. You can put a canoe or kayak in here and enjoy a nice slow easy paddle up the river from here to South Paris one way or go the other way to Twin Lakes.

Close to the cache site is Robinson Mill, a former textile mill known for making the blue wool for Union soldiers during the Civil War.

There is parking for several cars on the dirt pulloff.

Update May 2013, we've had to relocate this cache from under the bridge because of vandalism near it.

Update October 2015, construction on the new bridge is finally completed and we have moved this into a bright shiny new guardrail.
