Geocache Description:

Located in the Breaks Interstate Park on the Loop Trail. This is a nice little trail that is suitable for all family members, although there is a possibility of forest creatures, so watch your step!

Nearest parking for the Loop Trail is at Shelter #2, with the trail beginning behind the shelter.  You will be approximately 500 feet from the geocache.  You do not need to leave the trail until you are within 30 feet of the cache, where you will then need to climb up the hill.  This geocache is a clear plastic waterproof box with a log sheet and a collector’s card with some interesting facts about a tree that can be found in Breaks Interstate Park. The overall difficulty is a little high due to the heavy tree coverage, but just bear in mind that the geocache is located past the foot bridge and wooden stepping blocks, under a fallen tree.  Be sure to be on the lookout for the very tree you will be learning about.  This geocache is for all ages. Due to the local widelife, please do not place any food items in this geocache.
