Geocache Description:

Should be a quick easy find.
You will need a pen for this one.

The early settlers in the southern Wairarapa were mostly Presbyterians. They gave money to build this church still standing alone in the landscape. It was dedicated in May 1875.
Designed by John King of Masterton. Its builder was James Tweedale. There is an Historic Places plaque near the gate. The circular turret top ventilator on the roof is similar to those used on early dairy factories and some schools.
