It’s time again for the 4th annual Kansas City area geocache "I'm on a Boat" event. Again this year it will be the day after the 17th annual KC Area picnic so make it a weekend of Geocaching fun! In honor of the Mary Hyde event wrapping up this month we’re going full pirate! Deck your boat out with a Jolly Roger, a mini plank or a nerf cannon then don your best pirate garb (I’m looking at you Traveling Armadillos) and set sail for Shawnee Mission Lake!
Location: Shawnee Mission Park Marina
Date: Sunday August 27th
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Requirements: You must get close to the posted coordinates in the lake, no logging from the shore!
The marina has a covered shelter above the rental office for those who wish to only watch or take pictures. This will also serve as our rain out contingency meeting spot (and boy has there been a lot of that lately!)
