This puzzle cache can be solved in several ways.
It is designed for :
those who wish to increase their cache count, those who enjoy mathematical puzzles and those who don’t have GPS.
You are looking for a location (see hints), which when found will lead you to the final cache containing the log.
For those who wish to use an alternative strategy the location of the "start" will be reached after a few minutes if following the suggested route to GC227QV “Chuffed to Bits”.
For the rest … it really is about the numbers … here goes …
The First location is
North N degrees M.abc minutes. East E degrees D.adb minutes.
N: On a dartboard take 20 as North. N is on a bearing of 160 just over halfway from the bull to outer.
M: When counting had you noticed
12= 3x4, M= 7x8.
E: Multiply together all the integers between -10 and 10.
D: The largest prime number less than the answer to “life, the universe and everything”.
Now find digits a b c and d. They are all different.
None of a b c or d occurs in the cache name.
One of a b c d is the number of factors of 222397 the others are x y z in the following.
Before calculators (BC) 22/7 was an approximation of pi. 3xx/yy3 gives an approximation accurate to z decimal places.
Finally you now have 4! Possibilities, (d-b) = (b-a) should narrow the search.
Now for a little thinking outside the box, look up at the word repeated 4 times.
Take the 5th 7th 3rd and 2nd letters in order for the start and finish of the final part.
Follow the wire(s) until you reach the 6th.
Or add 0.058 to the Eastings, subtract 0.088 from the Northings.
