Geocache Description:

Here we have the second of two caches around the Hogganfield Loch.

This is a beautiful place to visit when the sun is out, always somewhere to lift your spirits and enjoy the scenery.

Even poor weather has it's benefits here. That equates to less people, which means even more hungry birds. The moment you stand at the shore and rustle a bag, the heads turn. When you open that bag and wave a yummy slice of brown/seeded bread, they'll make a line straight for you.

For an up-close swan-feeding experience: If you enter by the main road, take a walk down the pathway to the left, past the small kids playpark. You'll see the grassy shore with a shallow cobblestone ledge. If you stand here, toss some bread into the water. When you've amassed a small crowd of waterfowl, start dropping some on the shore.

Now, if there's not been too many people feeding them, it's likely quite a few of the braver/hungrier swans and geese will happily come onto land and quickly surround you. It's awesome. It does however take a little bit of practice of how to feed them without your finger being included in their beak. They're just hungry :)

-- The cache --

You'll find this one somewhere on the summit/peak overlooking the back end of the loch. It's only a minute or two's detour from the main pathway..

Cache is at ground level, the coords should take you close to it. You may need to feel around to get it. Be sure to disguise it again when done! :)

Small click-lock container, with logbook, pencil, sharpener. Contains a few goodies, forgot which had which, because I'm a diddy. You may find a padlock, small crystal, compass ball, bus coin keyrings, a brand new rubber (ooh), and a rusty 'glasgow's awesome' keychain. I'm poor :(
